Trouble With a Transition
1 2 3 Roofing was approached by a Client who was experiencing a leak at the transition between their flat and sloped roof. After a thorough inspection, the 1 2 3 Roofing Consultant determined that the area where the sloped roof met the wall along the flat roof, was not properly flashed. This had been allowing any water flowing from the flat roof, to seep in between the shingles at the wall. To correct this issue, the shingles were removed from the problem area, and proper flashing was installed along the wall. Underlayment was installed as well, as an added layer of protection against further leaks. The shingles were then replaced, to complete the project.
